The neon artwork originated from a spontaneous action by artist Stanislas Lahaut during an expo. There, he wrote the words in thick black letters on a two-person mattress placed against a window to muffle the music.
‘It just made sense to me: a mattress for two and a text starting with ‘you’ and ending with ‘me’,’ he says. The original work was a gift for his girlfriend and still has a place in their home.
