S.M.W.G.F. (See Me Wave Goodbye Forever) consists of a three-master sunk into its pedestal. The artwork evokes a sense of melancholy and transience.
It symbolises both saying goodbye (SMWG) - the three-master - and not being able to say goodbye (F) - which is why it is sunk in its pedestal - to something that was once grand and majestic, but is now lost. The viewer is reminded that even the most impressive things can eventually disappear, but that parting can carry beauty and meaning.
Unlimited on-going series, each work is made with a different three-master, made-to-order
